In June 2021, the provincial government enacted the Accessible British Columbia Act (“the Act”) to establish a legal framework for identifying, removing, and preventing barriers that hinder the full and equal participation of people with disabilities in British Columbia. The Act requires municipalities to develop an Accessibility Plan.

The purpose of the Accessibility Plan is to outline actions to remove and prevent barriers for people of all abilities—both in the community through City services and facilities, and in the workplace for municipal employees. The plan is required to be updated every three years to reflect progress, evolving community needs, and a growing understanding of accessibility.

Complete our brief survey below by Sunday, March 23 at 11:59 p.m. to help identify and share what you feel are areas for improvement to support accessibility in our City. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

For those who prefer or need to take the survey in person, please visit City Hall and a printed survey is available at Customer Service. If you have other accessibility needs in order to take the survey, please email info@pittmeadows.ca or call 604.465.5454, and we will support in determining the best option for you to successfully complete the survey.
